Johnson and Held Bolo Skull Fetish U3006B
Johnson & Held Bolo Skull Fetish is handmade in the USA for Boot Star by Johnson & Held. This bolo is composed of nickle silver, black resin, coral and turquoise. The artisans hand cut the nickel silver using a jeweler's saw and engrave the piece by hand to add western style. The skull and dream catcher in the center stand out against the black resin. Each piece of turquoise is hand inlayed around the border to ensure this piece stands out as artwork. Featuring an adjustable sliding bolo back, this bolo comes on a genuine black leather cord braided and finished with two silver caps.

Johnson & Held
Every Johnson & Held bolo is handcrafted in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Englewood, Colorado. Boot Star works closely with J&H to create unique and artistic pieces for our customers. Our collection of buckles begins with a nickel silver base and added materials sourced from all over the U.S., such as turquoise, ironwood, and abalone. Born of the spirit of the Wild West, for over 30 years, Johnson & Held has been a leading manufacturer of premier 100% handcrafted, custom designed buckles and western accessories and continues to strive to create enduring pieces of art that can be passed down from generation to generation.
A Note about Bolos:
A symbol for American western wear, the Bolo has been around for a long time. This wearable art form was brought to greater sophistication by Native American jewelers and silversmiths in particular in the late 1890s and early 1900s. In the 1950's bolos were part of the Rockabilly look and were even popular in the United Kingdom.
Johnson & Held does not lay claim to have invented the bolo, but they do claim to have perfected the art in their own right. As is the case with their buckles they hand craft their bolo ties, drawing the designs by hand, cutting the metal by hand, soldering, inlaying, and sand painting, all by hand. Their bolos are equally detailed and intricate as their buckles, many of which use the same design. Find your favorite design and you will be wearing a hand crafted work of art around your neck. It is the necktie of choice for governors (New Mexico's Bill Richardson, Montana's Brain Schwitzer) and music legends (just take a look at the album art on Bruce Springsteen's Tunnel of Love).
