For example, we’re loving these tooled city-style clutches from Que Chula. What a great way to show off your Cowgirl Savvy while looking professional.
Que Chula can translate to "what a beauty!" These handbags are handmade of the finest leather and tooling – the workmanship and details are simply a joy to behold! And in colors that will carry you through from summer to fall with lots of style.
What is the perfect pairing for your leather goodies? Good ol’ fashioned denim. Pair your Boot Star find with your favorite beat-up jeans, or a super cool Dixon Rand Highwayman denim shirt.
Or throw that Levis vintage trucker jacket or
a classic Schott Perfecto Motorcycle Jacket over it all
to keep nice and cozy.
Whatever your take on it, we’ve got you covered in denim, leather and style at Boot Star!
Are you ready for fall? Men’s Western StylePosted by Boot Star | 11.09.2015
GETTING READY FOR FALL -- MEN'S FALL FASHION -- AMERICAN MADE
For years we have supplied products that we believe in; items that we are proud to carry and pieces that we wear. We are pleased to offer a line of men's products that are American Made.
In collaboration with the Los Angeles, California-based shirt maker, Dixon Rand, we believe we have created the best fitting, snap button, boot stitched pocket detail denim western shirt. With careful selection, we've kept to the classics in leather motorcycle jackets from the iconic leather powerhouse based in New Jersey -- Schott Leather. We've also added to our growing selection of t-shirts for not only men, but can also be worn by women. "The Chicken Ranch" by Bandit Brand has quickly become a favorite. Our handmade plain, tooled, and exotic belts from California and New Mexico can be worn as is with a simple buckle or with a trophy buckle from Comstock Heritage, which is based in the same state as our second location, Nevada. The handmade Coronado Leather bags made in San Diego, CA use Horween leather from Chicago for bags that can be utilized as a gym, work or weekend bag. Last, but certainly not least, is our most recent collaboration with one of our favorite boot companies -- Rios of Mercedes. Straight from the southern tip of Texas, the good people at Rios have been the perfect marriage of creativity and quality.
Dixon Rand Western Shirts - Capturing the Spirit of the American WestPosted by Boot Star | 10.20.2015
DIXON RAND "THE HIGHWAYMAN" WESTERN DENIM SHIRT
Continuing our tradition of honoring America's unique contribution to the fashion world, we're happy to introduce our new line of authentic Western Shirts from Dixon Rand. Designed for the Rebel, Adventurer, and Gentlemen everywhere, the Dixon Rand brand stands for: the freedom of the open road, an independent and individual spirit, unwavering respect for craftsmanship and quality, and a love of unique vintage textiles.
Dixon Rand was founded in 2013 with the premise that the clothing we wear is an expression of our individuality. To that end, denim is at the core of the brand designs. More than just another piece of cloth, denim has come to signify the American Spirit. From humble beginnings as a workman's fabric that clothed pioneers and frontiersmen, it is now associated with ubiquitous style from generation to generation.
As the good people at Dixon Rand would say, ... "there's "A Story in Every Stitch...."
"The earliest cowboy boots were simple flat-heeled, round-toed boots that they brought back with them from the Civil War. This style became more refined until the 1880s when the cowboy "style" of boot, which we now think of today, was introduced. This new version of the cowboy boot featured the use of softer, more exotic leathers along with decorative stitching on the top of the foot commonly known as the "boot stitch," which some cowboys swore gave them a snugger fit.
We started a conversation with the team at Boot Star earlier this year to create a style of denim shirt that spoke to the spirit of the cowboy boot. So low and behold, our 'highwayman' selvage denim shirt was created, complete with "boot stitches" on the pockets. But this stitching doesn't make the fit any snugger...." ~ Abe (Dixon Rand)
